Who We Are
Kay Hazen and Company handles assignments for complex, challenging and controversial clients and projects of all sizes. The firm provides strategic, marketing communications and crisis advice and counsel to private developers, legal firms, non-profit organizations, public agencies and clients managing large, controversial environmental issues and projects.
The company has been front and center on several high-profile Southern California issues in recent years including providing outreach and permitting support for the Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan, the Salton Sea Authority Local Project Alternative and the Eagle Mountain Landfill and Recycling Center. In addition, the firm has represented individual projects, managed the development of strategic plans and initiatives for public and private agencies, and assisted numerous energy projects with strategy, permitting and development.

Kay Hazen – Background
Following a twenty year career in a wide variety of hospital executive management positions including serving as Administrative Vice President for Desert Hospital in Palm Springs, Kay Hazen served as Vice President of public and government affairs for Mine Reclamation Corporation before opening her public affairs company in 2001.
An active and engaged civic leader, Kay Hazen has previously served as President of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Palm Springs International Film Festival, President of the American Heart Association-Desert Chapter, Board Member of the Agua Caliente Development Authority and a Founding Board Member of the Coachella Valley Economic Partnership.
She is currently Board Vice President of the Desert Healthcare District and serves as a member of the Board of Friends of the Desert Mountains and Desert Regional Medical Center and as an appointed member of the Energy and Water Efficiency subcommittee of the Coachella Valley Association of Governments.
